"Mr. Howard was a Methodist to begin with," said Miss Cornelia, as if she thought he had not far to go from that to heresy.
It's been in the making for a little while, but today Niantic revealed details of the Trainer Battles coming to Pokemon GO very soon.

Pokemon GO's upcoming Trainer Battles are a new social feature where you'll be able to take on other Trainers in fast-paced fights. In-game you'll create a custom Battle Party made up of three Pokemon and you'll get to unlock a new Charge Attack and Protect Shield mechanic for a fresher strategy element.

"The Trainer Battles feature infuses the spirit of Pokemon GO with the classic concept of battling Pokemon, creating an exciting competitive angle for Pokemon GO Battles that also feels familiar to Pokemon GO and main series fans alike," says Product Manager for Pokemon GO at Niantic, Matt Slemon.

According to the official blog post, Trainer Battles will kick off this month. If you're worried about getting paired up with someone way more powerful than you, Trainers need to compete in the same Trainer Battle League and will both receive handsome rewards for their efforts regardless of the victor.

Our own Ric Cowley got his hands on Trainer Battles already and wrote up a dandy ol' feature on his experiences, so be sure to give that a read for more information.

Now that it's brought Deponia and A Whispered World to iPad, the target of Daedalic's next port is the 2012 eco-thriller adventure A New Beginning.

It follows a retired bio-engineer called Brent Svensson as he's reluctantly forced into preventing a climate disaster that will ravage the planet in the future.

A woman called Fay travels back in time from this grim future and tells Svensson that only his research will prevent the catastrophe.

"After initially meeting her with healthy distrust, the gruff man soon starts to believe the time traveler's story," writes Daedalic.

"As Svensson's research is about to fall into the wrong hands which could result in worldwide disaster, he decides to help her."

With Yooka-Laylee out and about and receiving mixed reviews overall, there's still one platform we've yet to see it on: the Nintendo Switch. Lucky for us, there's a couple of major changes coming in that version.

Playtonic Games revealed earlier that they're still trucking on with the Switch version, and will be sorting out the two major things that vexed people about the game.

Its camera problems were certainly irritable in places, that was a universal opinion, but a lot of people - including myself - weren't particularly tickled by its yabbery cutscenes and numbing voices. Thankfully, it looks like the developer's going to be adding ways for us to skip through the bulk of its audio.

"That means stuff like the optional ability to skip dialogue faster, bypass cutscenes or reduce those pesky gibberish voices, which should please the speedrunners among us. We'll also be adding a sprinkling of design polish throughout the adventure and by popular request, changes to how the camera operates."

Apparently these changes will also be coming to the PC and console version of the game as a nifty patch. Hopefully soon.
A FOWLER caught a Partridge and was about to kill it. The Partridge earnestly begged him to spare his life, saying, "Pray, master, permit me to live and I will entice many Partridges to you in recompense for your mercy to me." The Fowler replied, "I shall now with less scruple take your life, because you are willing to save it at the cost of betraying your friends and relations."

MU Origin returns with its first big patch for the New Year. There’s a lot of fresh new content on offer, including a new class to master, as well as some aesthetic goodies and quality life improvements. There’s a lot to unpack here, so let’s get right to it, shall we?
Update 2.3 introduces the new Summoner class, a magic user that can summon the Valkyrie into battle and sweep through your enemies. If you have one character over 3 Rebirth Level 1, you can create a Summoner. Otherwise, find yourself a Scroll of Dark Souls to add the Summoner to your roster.

The addition of the Sub-Character, too, introduces plenty of space to further customize your character. The Sub-Character allows you to switch to another class while keeping your Rebirth Levels, Resources, Pets, Stats, and so much more. You’ll have to provide new equipment and teach your sub-character new skills, but it does open up the chance for some multi-classing fun. You can switch between your main and Sub-Character in safe areas. To unlock the Sub-Character, you’ll need to complete the quest, “Secret”. The quest is only available after 8 Rebirth Level 1. With that quest under your belt, and 1,500 Unbound Diamonds in your coffers, you can create a Sub-Character of your very own.
