Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos is an upcoming tactical RPG from Ubisoft that was previously an exclusive in China. It will be an experience that was built with mobile devices in mind. It will be available at some point before the end of 2019 for both iOS and Android.

Though the game has been purpose-built for mobile, the campaign will be familiar to long-time players of the Might & Magic franchise. It will retell the story of Might and Magic III, which means heading back to the land of Erathia where you'll attempt to rally its population following the fall of their king.

The campaign won't be the only mode for testing out your strategic nous, however. There will also be eight other game modes for you to test out your skills in. There will also be numerous PVE and guild type modes where you'll work with allies and compete with foes, so it's sounding like a pretty full experience so far.

The gameplay itself will focus on where and when you deploy your various troops. Once they've been sent into battle they'll automatically perform all of their actions. You won't completely lose control of your army once you've chosen their starting position though, you'll still be able to influence ensuing battle with heroes.

These heroes will all possess unique abilities that you can use to influence the action on the battlefield. As you progress you'll unlock increasingly more of these heroes who will be characters you may know from across the history of the franchise. This includes characters like Yog the half-human, half-genie and Shiva the barbarian.

Might & Magic Heroes: Era of Chaos will be available for both iOS and Android at some point in 2019. It will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. You can pre-register over on their official site now which will net you a Pirate Catherine skin and Legendary Pack of loot when the game drops.
Check out our news section to discover the latest, and greatest, games.
That seasoned woe had pelleted in tears,
Foursaken Media's medieval action-defence sequel Heroes and Castles 2 will be out tonight. But we already knew that.

As with the first game, Heroes and Castles 2 has you defending a a fortress from skeletons and other angry monsters in a third-person view.

To do this, you can charge in with sword and shield. But you'll also want to make use of summoning elves and dwarves, and using siege weapons such as trebuchet and catapults.

Eventually, you'll aim to turn the tables by launching an attack on the enemy's castle. And, yes, if you're wondering, this is single player and multiplayer. You can play with friends cooperatively or competitively.

"Leslie, don't speak of it. I know the story--don't go into details that only harrow your soul up unavailingly. It WILL be blotted out."
observer(beta)"Suppose we buy it, Anne?" remarked Gilbert quietly.

Updated April 19th, 10:39 AM: With little ceremony, Evergrow: Paper Forest is now available for the iPhone and iPad.
Grab it on the App Store now for £2.99/$2.99.
Oddworld Inhabitants is experimenting with bringing Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty! to mobile, and showed an early test demo of the game running on an NVIDIA Shield tablet to some attendees at GDC.

Yes, like Pocket Gamer.

This is a remake of oddball PS1 cult classic Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, but the entire game has been remade from scratch. The design and structure is the same, but the assets are all new.

It's still about a Mudokon called Abe, who solves puzzles to save the slaves from the zulags of a meat processing plant. He can talk to and direct those workers, and can possess some enemies with a magic chant.

This Tasty revamp adds fancy new visuals, leaderboards, cutscenes rendered in realtime, quick saves, tweaks to some puzzles, and continuous scrolling between screens.

The studio says it is "currently experimenting with the viability of, and potential for a mobile device version" of the game, but says it has no particular platforms, dates, or prices in mind.

Still, the demo we saw was pretty impressive - the Android port took less than a week to make but already had all the graphics and gameplay of the console game, and didn't look too far off the lavishly-polished PS4 version.

"Should we proceed," says Oddworld Inhabitants, "we would stress that the development and timing of already announced but yet unreleased versions of Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty would not be affected by the development of such a mobile version."

Like that long-delayed Vita version, eh chaps?

Anyway. Would you buy New & Tasty if it came to mobile? Let us know in the comments below, to maybe nudge Oddworld Inhabitants in the right direction…

Basketrio is a new sports game from developer Cube Magic Limited that's available now for iOS and Android devices in selected regions. As you'll have inferred from the title, it's a basketball game where you'll be able to play as an array of colourful characters in different outfits that don't immediately scream sports attire, but that's all part of the fun presumably.

It promises to be an easy to play but hard to master sports title that will see you taking part in 3 on 3 half-court basketball matches that are played at an intense, fast pace. Each game will last 3 minutes and, according to the developer, be skill-centric. Alternatively, you can dive into the one on one option if you'd prefer.
Dark Odds review - "Shallow scares and clunky choices"
There will be a series of different characters who can be signed to your team. Each will have their own characteristics, talents and abilities to consider when deciding who joins your roster. Once they've signed you'll be able to train them to best suit your playstyle. You can see some of these characters in action in the embedded teaser trailer below.

The game will also have a feature called Drive-Assist that promises to let you create your own combos. There will be a selection of tricks to equip to your characters that play out fancy animations as you dunk, lay-up, or shoot a three-pointer.
